Solidworks models for Attopilot V1.8

I have created a set of solidworks models of the Attopilot V1.8 system. The dimensions are the same as the actual hardware, the weight and materials are not. You can create a custom material and added to the files to get the correct weight. If there is interest I will create a materials database for the models.
Enjoy!

Those are works of art Mecha out of interest how many hours did that take?

To make the shapes is pretty quick 20-30 minutes, getting all the dimensions takes about 15 minutes and what takes longer, sometimes hours, is to get the images ready: find online, crop, rote, etc. I modeled the Panasonic TS1 and that took several 2-3 hours sessions and it does not look all that great. If you are interested I will post a picture.

The GPS was the fastest, which took like 5 minutes as Sparkfun had images ready to go, and the shape is just 3 features, so it was very easy to do.

The AttoHead took the longest 2 or so hours, as i had to do it several times to get it right. I use pattern features that I kept getting errors on.

The Attopilot unit was about 1 hour total, the pins took the longest (first time I did them), and the images came right out of the manual, no problems there.

All in all, I started at around 6pm and finished by 3am, it all took about 9 hours

Mecha, great work. Out of curiosity, why did you do this? What are you using the models for?

I created these as part of the project for my new flying wing. I am creating the models as connectors so that I can create a wire harness and know what the cables weight is going to be. Also, with the proper weight distribution I can calculate the CG much better. Once I know my geometry and CG, I will create an AVL model to simulate the moments and all the other fun stuff. In other words, trying really hard to complicate my life :)
