Very successful maiden flight of a new project, Prawn Cracker, the reason for the name has to be explained in person with a beer in hand.

Well done Adrian!!

Although not using an AttoPilot at work right now, Adrian who is a member here does use one in the UK for other things.

He is currently one of the Qinetiq pilots that has just broken the 7 day mark with the Zephyr solar airframe. It took off last Friday from Yuma and is set to fly for another week I believe.

Hergest Ridge

Just playing some music on the most excellent Spotify and I had a light bulb moment. The album cover of Hergest Ridge was perhaps my starting inspiration for all this milarky.

I might just have to visit it and fly from the top. You probably can't see in this image but theres an RC glider behind the dog.

It shall be placed on my MP3 player and when I get a gap it shall be flown!!

Thinking back I can recall…

Parachute failsafe

Boomerang flying wing UAV parachute failsafe hatch test. from Gary Mortimer on Vimeo.
